Latest technology tracks the safety of two young riders rising money for equine charity

Latest technology tracks the safety of two young riders raising money for equine charity

Between 6 July and 11 July Bethan and Tabby will be undertaking a 135 mile sponsored ride in aid of the Lluest Horse and Pony Trust based in South West Wales  - aiming  to raise some much needed funds for the charity.

Lluest Horse and Pony Trust is a rescue centre for horses, ponies and donkeys. The Trust operates across Wales in some of the worst areas in the UK for stray, abandoned and neglected horses. Not only does the charity work tirelessly with rescue and rehabilitation many of the horses and ponies become part of the wonderful work Lluest does with  socially deprived and handicapped children.

As a safety measure on their trip Bethan Matthews (14) riding Suzie one of The Trust's rescue horses and  Tabby Wheeler (21) the head groom at the charity will be taking with them two TRAAKiT GPS  tracking devices, which will be attached to both horse and rider. Having the device with them means that sponsors, well wishers and their friends and family will be able to follow them every step of the way.

Please support the girls as they take on their brave challenge and pledge a

Lluest Horse and Pony Trust will be doing a daily update on the ride and thanks to TRAAKiT's amazing technology there will be a mapped out history trail of where the girls have been each day.

"TRAAKiT will provide the riders with security throughout their ride. One of the many features means  that Tabby and Bethan's   families will always be able to pinpoint their location and  track the girls via the website checking on their progress and welfare," says Tim Young from TRAAKiT. "We have been working closely with Emma Kurrels, the founder of Voices for Horses, who suggested to us the concept of using TRAAKiT for rider and horse safety".

If you are worried about falling off and your horse running away  or getting lost while  out riding or if your  family are worried because you are late home  TRAAKiT could well be the answer.
