"World Horse Welfare does more for horses than any other charity both in the UK and in the Developing World. It also campaigns to have a direct impact on horse welfare through changing policy, practice and attitudes.

"I look forward to having a more direct involvement with World Horse Welfare and will do whatever I can to benefit the work of this excellent charity."

Pippa Funnell joins a team of 11 charity trustees headed up by Chairman Christopher Hall. Comments Christopher Hall: "I have known Pippa since her Pony Club days and celebrated her many successes.
