World Horse Welfare (ILPH) horses and ponies currently looking for new homes Karla (Bella) is a 9 year old 14.3hh bay Arab mare who came to Hall Farm in a terrible state in 2000. Bella was sent away to Cambridge Vet School earlier this year where they x - rayed her back and diagnosed osteoarthritis in one of her vertebrae. Because of this she is now looking for a non-ridden loan home. Bella has a lovely temperament, is well mannered and easy to care for, she may need rugging through very cold or wet weather. |  |
| Boots (Danny) was originally signed over to World Horse Welfare in 2002. We have tried for a number of months to back Boots but his unusual action and nervous temperament meant that he would always be unpredictable as a ridden pony so we made the decision to companion him. Boots will not mix with mares and can be dominant over food however he is a very friendly pony who would be able to do a bit of in hand showing. Hall Farm, Norfolk. http://www.ilph.org/hls |  |
| Stella is a youngster who has been through a tough time in her short life. Despite this ill treatment she has never held this against us and is maturing into a confident, bold youngster. Stella is looking for a home where she will be handled daily, walked out and taken to shows. When she is 5 years old we would like Stella to be returned to Hall Farm to be assessed as a potential riding pony. |  |
| Zoe was gifted to World Horse Welfare in September 2005. She came to us as a ridden horse but is now enjoying her retirement! Zoe is not ridden any more due to her getting on a bit! Zoe seems to enjoy being a lady of leisure! Zoe needs a home where she can stay with one other and be pampered, preferably another Thoroughbred as nearly all TBs seem to share the same needs! | Tammy originally arrived at World Horse Welfare in July 2001. She arrived in a terrible state as her owner had attempted to treat her sweet itch with Jeyes Fluid. Tammy has been Hall Farm's adoption horse for the last 2 years and is now ready to be re homed as a non-ridden companion. | Pip was originally signed over to World Horse Welfare as part of a welfare case, he is a 16 year old piebald Shetland gelding. Pip is fine being handled by adults but would need constant supervision if there were young children around. Pip has suffered with laminitis in the past and is prone to gaining weight very easily so must have restricted grazing all year round. Pip is a really fun Shetland and just needs to find the right home where he will be handled firmly but fairly to ensure his manners remain in check. Hall Farm, Norfolk. http://www.ilph.org/hls |  |
| Polo is a 10hh Shetland cross grey mare who is ready to be re-homed as a non-ridden companion. Polo came into Penny Farm in July 2005 as a welfare case. She had not been handled and was extremely nervous. She was intensely handled and made great progress, she has recently been returned from loan. | Buzby is a 16.3hh bay 7 year old gelding. Buzby is looking for a new home as a NON RIDDEN COMPANION horse. Buzby is a gentle giant who unfortunately cannot be ridden due to osteo arthritis. He mixes well with other geldings and can live out all year round but will need his weight monitoring. He loves to play with other horses and is very affectionate towards people. | George is a 16.2hh grey 18yr old gelding. He came into Penny Farm in July 2007 as a welfare concern. George is now looking for a home as a non-ridden companion. He is a very affectionate horse who would give someone a lot of pleasure. He mixes well with mares and geldings. George will need a stable at night and turnout during the day. | Zippy is a 13 year old grey mare available now as a non-ridden companion. She came to World Horse Welfare Penny Farm in November 2003 with 4 other mares. They were all unhandled. She requires an experienced loaner, who will continue with her basic handling. She is good for the vet and farrier. | Hannah has been with World Horse Welfare for some time now. She originally came to us due to lameness and behavioral problems. The lameness was investigated, and found to be due to low grade ringbone. This was medicated and has now settled down and causes her no problems. Hannah's behaviour took a little longer to sort out.
