Drawing the Line at Cheltenham

Drawing the Line at Cheltenham

The British Horse Society is pleased to announce that its Drawing the Line on Indiscriminate Breeding campaign will be hosted in the Hall of Fame during the Cheltenham festival this March.

The British Horse Society's Drawing the Line campaign has so far received some tremendous donations for auction this October, and in light of this, the BHS will be exhibiting some of the donations so far received in the Hall of Fame from 16 - 19 March.

As well as exhibiting our auction lots, the BHS stand will also be selling a number of exquisite paintings by equestrian artists Nicola Moore, Carolyne Geary and Sarah Clegg, all of whom are supporting and donating to the campaign. Ten percent of each purchase will be donated towards BHS Welfare and its work on indiscriminate breeding.

The BHS has received some superb donations from a number of top equestrian artists, including John Trickett and Malcolm Coward S.E.A, both courtesy of Sally Mitchell Fine Art, plus a donation from cartoonist Bryn Parry of a signed print, The Hunting Day and an original painting by Jacquie Jones. Other celebrity donations include autographed sketches by Alan Titchmarsh, Lucinda Green, Matt Ryan and Kelly Marks a beautiful painting by Noel Edmonds, a set of signed racing silks by world renowned racing champion Frankie Dettori, and a Sally Lancaster limited edition print of Denman and Kauto Star donated by Paul Nicholls Racing Limited and signed by the great man himself. Lord and Lady Derby are also supporting, and have donated an original painting of their winning racehorse Ouija Board by artist Sue Lyon Heap.

Whether you want to find out more about the campaign and the work we are doing, register your interest for the auction, support the campaign or simply buy some beautiful art, the BHS hopes that you can make it to Cheltenham, and looks forward to seeing you there.

To register your interest in the auction, please email h.dunn@bhs.org.uk
