WIN Tickets for The British Jumping Derby Meeting at Hickstead June 25 to June 28

Friday is an important one on the schedule. Horses which have won the DFS Derby in previous years get an automatic place among the starters, but Friday's Derby Trial, with enhanced prize money of £16,000, decides who will fill the remaining places - and there's only 35 to start.

High-speed thrills in the scurry driving

Saturday, too, has a programme not to be missed. The Hickstead Amateur Championship opens the International Arena programme and other highlights include the elegant Hacks vying for the Supreme Championship and the high-speed thrills in the scurry driving. But the one not to be missed is the Bunn Leisure Speed Derby, when Essex rider Ben Maher will be looking for a place in the record books. Only two riders, David Bowen and John Ledingham, have ever won this challenging title three times, and this year Ben will be determined to join them.
