Spectacular performances assured at BRC Quadrille of the Year Final 2008
A selection trial was held on 4 October at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre to determine which lucky teams would make it through to the London final. Thirteen teams took part but only four have the opportunity to perform at Olympia for the chance to be crowned 2008 Quadrille Champions.
The first successful team selected to compete at the finals were Moat View Riding Club in Kent with their ‘Battleaxes - A Call to Arms' routine. Moat View are holders of the Quadrille title, taking the championship last year with their Furious Angels performance.
The second team to qualify were from Saffron Walden and District Riding Club in Essex. They will be conjuring up a bewitching performance with their ‘Double Trouble' theme.
Wey Valley Riding Club will perform ‘Fairground Frolics' as their chosen theme. The choreography was a team effort and depicts colourful carousel horses at a fairground.
The fourth and final competitors will be St Edmunds Riding Club from Suffolk. They will be performing as ‘The Mystick Krewe,' bringing flamboyant costumes and a carnival atmosphere to the competition.
