Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling
The opening story in ‘Dancing with Horses' celebrates the journey with Horse and from that point the book takes us on the fascinating journey of our own self-discovery into how our own reactions, thoughts and body movements impact how the horse sees us and how he responds as a result.
In Klaus's second book ‘What Horses Reveal' he highlights what, for me, is a crucial element of his work - that all horses are individuals and that when we learn to recognise this we can adapt our ways of working together to mutual benefit. Life becomes safer, it becomes so much more enjoyable, less stressful and peace breaks out on your yard.
For many years Klaus has lived privately, following the simple principles of harmony with his family, rarely delivering seminars or doing demonstrations. Only recently has he begun offering people the opportunity to share his wisdom directly.
Klaus's way is not any kind of proscribed method, you will not be asked to subscribe to any ongoing programme, to buy any kind of ‘magic' tools or equipment. There is no network of endorsed trainers because Klaus's work is unique to himself. You are simply invited to witness what he has to say, how he interacts with damaged, dangerous horses and to learn how, through his own self-awareness and body movements, he is able to work successfully with every horse he meets.
Klaus recognises that each of us already has significant and unique experience and what he has to offer may complement the work we are already doing with our horses. He doesn't promote any kind of dependency. We are inspired to create our own unique relationship with our own horses. His work, in my own experience, has provided some different richly coloured, textured threads for my own personal tapestry.
My aim in organising this two day event is to offer anyone interacting with horses, in any sphere, a rare opportunity to consider Klaus's unique approach to working, and dancing, with horses. My hope is that everyone who attends will learn at least one new thing that they will be able to take away and it will improve the lives of their horses and themselves."
I hope you will be able to join us.
