BETA seeks award-winning feeding advice Have you been impressed by a feed and/or supplement company's telephone helpline? If so, the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) urges you to nominate the company concerned for the HAYGAIN Nutritional Helpline of the Year Award. The accolade, one of ten 2010 BETA Business Awards to be presented at the BETA Gala Dinner in February, will go to the helpline offering the best practical feeding guidance tailored to individual equines' needs. "We want to hear about helplines that offer workable feed and supplement regimes based on sound science rather than pure sales patter," said BETA's executive director Claire Williams.

When making a nomination, BETA is also keen to know whether helplines have provided follow-up information and how useful this proved to be.

 Private and professional horse owners, as well as feed merchants, are invited to send in their nominations for the HAYGAIN Nutritional Helpline of the Year Award. Companies supplying equine feeds, feed balancers, forages and supplements are eligible.

 Nominations close on 13 January 2010, after which a short list will be drawn up for final independent judging involving incognito calls.
