TV'S PAUL MARTIN WILL BE REDWINGS AUCTIONEER
Redwings has been gathering lots for most of this year. Up for grabs are many desirable items including numerous ‘pony and donkey doodles' illustrated and signed by celebrities including Bill Bailey, Tony Robinson, Jo Brand and Julian Clary. Also available is a signed photograph of Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe as well as an Eastenders Albert Square street sign autographed by the cast.
Experiences on offer include a cookery lesson with Knorr Chef of the Year 2008 Robert Oberhoffer, a day at Newmarket Races, a morning at the Gallops with William Haggis, a trip on the Norfolk Broads, several exclusive Redwings experiences including a day with the re-homing team, a tour of BBC Look East and an afternoon behind the scenes at a BBC radio show, a beautiful rocking horse, a golfing ‘stay away' for four at Wrag Barn Golf Course in Wiltshire plus a fishing enthusiast's bundle, horse lovers' bundles, meals in restaurants, gift hampers, equestrian goodies, and professional photographs and artwork.
Paul is looking forward to the evening. "I have several horses myself so I really appreciate the work that Redwings does to help horses in need," explains Paul. "The auction is a great chance to have fun, raise some money for Redwings plus pick up a brilliant auction lot. I'm really looking forward to it, as well as spending some time in Norfolk which is a lovely county."
Communications Manager Nicola Markwell was thrilled when Paul agreed to come and be the evening's auctioneer. "Paul originally came to Redwings to film a section for Flog It! but we soon discovered that he loves horses," explains Nicola. "With such lovely auction lots and Paul's expert auctioneering it is going to be a brilliant night and a fantastic way for us to celebrate our Silver Jubilee and raise funds as well."
Attending the auction is by ticket only, which costs just £15pp. All guests will enjoy a drinks reception and will receive a commemorative goody bag. The evening starts at 7.30pm with viewing 6pm-7pm.
