Clubmark achieved by urban city riding school
Clubmark, introduced in 2002, is the Sport England mark of high quality clubs. It is specifically designed for clubs with junior sections and ensures the well being of young people while participating in sport, enabling them to use their leisure time creatively and optimise their talents and personal ability.
The benefits for the club or centre accredited include club development, increased membership, developing coaches and volunteers and an increased profile.
Margaret Linington-Payne, Director of Standards at The British Horse Society said: "We are delighted to accredit our sixth Clubmark centre; we hope they will benefit from being a part of this scheme."
Linda Hinds of Vauxhall City Farm said: "I found the Clubmark accreditation easy to do, we were in fact already doing most of the criteria and it was just a case of collating the evidence. It has however made us tidy up certain areas of our information."
Clubmark is available to all clubs and centres who are accredited or approved by a British Equestrian Federation Member Body.
