New Balanced support for equine digestive upsets

New Balanced support for equine digestive upsets

CEVA Animal Health has introduced the UK's only equine montmorillonite product with prebiotics. New Diarsanyl® Plus helps support the gut of new-born foals and calves and maintain a normal balance of intestinal flora, presenting a simple and cost-effective way to nip digestive upsets in the bud.

CEVA Animal Health has introduced the UK's only equine montmorillonite product with prebiotics.

Digestive problems and the associated symptoms can be a nightmare to deal with but Diarsanyl® Plus is a reliable solution. The key ingredient is montmorillonite, which can absorb the gut toxins produced in digestive upsets 90 times more effectively than kaolin.

Diarsanyl® Plus also contains the prebiotics fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), which are scientifically proven to maintain normal intestinal flora by promoting the growth of ‘good bacteria' such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli at the expense of potentially harmful pathogenic bacteria. FOS also stimulate the production of the short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) acetate, propionate and butyrate, which are important energy sources for the large intestine and bicarbonate precursors suppressing acidosis.

With electrolytes and dextrose in the formulation too, Diarsanyl® Plus can help to boost energy and aid recovery. The palatable paste formulation enhances absorption, while the ready-to-use, calibrated oral syringe makes for quick, easy and accurate administration.

Each syringe contains sufficient for a complete three-day course of treatment, for excellent practicality and value. For scouring calves and foals Diarsanyl® can be used in conjunction with CEVA's popular oral hydration product Rehydion gel®
