Research conducted by WALTHAM®, which provides the science behind the SPILLERS® brand, has led the tried and trusted feed manufacturer to produce three different feeds for broodmares, foals and youngstock. All have been expertly formulated through proven research to support immunity and digestive health, as well as muscle and topline development.
SPILLERS® Stud Cubes, SPILLERS® Stud and Youngstock Mix and SPILLERS® Youngstock pellets all benefit from added immune support in the form of Vitamin C and ingredients rich in glutamine which may be beneficial during times of stress e.g. Weaning. High Vitamin E levels are also included, which are proven to support the transfer of passive immunity via the mare's colostrums to the foal. All three feeds have been formulated to support digestive health with added live yeast and ingredients to encourage butyrate production which is important in the development and health of the digestive tract.
WALTHAM® research has confirmed the importance of protein quality for optimum growth, with lysine and threonine being the most influential amino acids.
